#美联储重启降息步伐 It's my eighth year in the crypto space—what haven't I seen over these years?
The craziest experience was in 2017 when I went all-in on ADA. Built my position at $0.03 and watched it soar to $1.2. My portfolio grew 40x, and I was calculating how many houses I could buy every day.
In the end, I didn't sell a single coin.
When ADA dropped back to $0.2, 80% of my profit vanished just like that. That's when I realized: getting in is easy, but getting out is where the real skill lies.
After that, I set strict rules for myself—
First, about taking profits: when a coin rises from $1 to $2, I sell 30% to get back my principal. At $3, I sell another 30%. For the final 40%, I set a 15% trailing stop. This way, I can ride the main uptrend without getting blindsided by a sudden crash.
Now about stop-losses: if any position drops 5%, I must cut it—lose $500 on a $10,000 position and I'm out. I always set a -10% conditional order when I open a position; holding through a big loss just isn't worth it.
And one more principle: don't try to catch the first or last move, just the middle part is the safest. This year, I've made 35% with this approach—not outrageous gains, but I can sleep at night.
After eight years, I've seen plenty of people get rich quick, but very few actually keep the money.
Survive, stay disciplined, and be able to repeat your process—this is what long-termism is about. The market isn't short on legends; what's missing are those who can stand till the end.
