Nillion Secures $20 Million Series A Financing on December 12, 2022

According to media reports, privacy computing network project Nillion secured $20 million in Series A financing on December 12, 2022. The round was backed by prominent investors including Distributed Global, GSR, HashKey Capital, Big Brain Holdings, Chapter One, Inception Capital, SALT Fund, and AU21 Capital. Following this funding, Nillion's latest valuation reached $400 million.Nillion is a computing network integrating multiple privacy-enhancing technologies, combining non-interactive multi-party computation (MPC), trusted execution environment (TEE), and decentralized secure storage. The project achieves high-performance processing while safeguarding data privacy by splitting and encrypting data for storage and executing parallel computations without communication. Nillion has broad application scenarios, including Web3 identity authentication, privacy finance, and AI model training, enabling full realization of data value.With growing demand for privacy protection and data security, privacy computing technologies represented by Nillion are becoming critical infrastructure in the blockchain and Web3 sectors. The project's innovative solution offers users new pathways for data processing and interaction while preserving privacy. Nillion has continued to achieve significant milestones: in June 2024, it completed a $20 million community round; in October 2024, it raised an additional $25 million; on March 13, 2025, it conducted a token airdrop distribution, with mainstream exchanges subsequently listing the NIL token; on March 24, 2025, the mainnet officially launched; and in October, the project further expanded blind computation to general computing, continuing technical upgrades and ecosystem development.
