[Crypto World] On December 5th, a bold trader pulled off a heart-pounding move on Hyperliquid.
This “biggest ZEC bear” has been having a tough time lately—ZEC has been surging, and his short position entry price was pushed right to the edge. In the past hour, this guy gritted his teeth and threw another $1.72 million into shorting ZEC, bringing his total position to $14.1 million. What’s even more painful is that his unrealized profit, which had a $3.3 million cushion yesterday, has now shrunk to just $300k, and his average entry price has been forced down to $412.
Looking into this address’s trading history, it’s rather legendary. When he first shorted ZEC on October 10, the price was only $184. He kept adding to his position to average down his cost, stubbornly pushing the average up to $419. On October 17, things were worst—his unrealized loss once reached $21 million. That takes some serious nerves.
But this trader isn’t just obsessed with ZEC. He’s also shorting ETH, ZEC, MON, and HYPE. The real profits are coming from the ETH short: even though his unrealized gain has recently shrunk by about $3 million, he’s still sitting on a $6.22 million profit (194% ROI) with a $48.05 million position at an average price of $4,014.
The most daring move is his recent MON short—he used 3x leverage to build a $5.72 million position, now sitting on a $2.26 million unrealized profit (118% ROI), and has also claimed the title of biggest MON short on Hyperliquid. This multi-pronged strategy shows he’s got nerves of steel.
